International Work Based Training Program: The I.W.B.T.P is a programme that enables Ghanaian social service professionals to enter the U.S. legally to receive practical, hands-on experience in American social service agencies.
We run this programme in partnership with American Youth Work Center a US based nongovernmental resource and training organization for human/social service workers and community-based social service organizations.
AYWC is designated by the Department of State to participate in the Education and Cultural Exchange J-1 visa program. AYWC specializes in coordinating international cultural/professional exchanges for social work professionals to come to the US and participate in our 3-12 month internship program for college students or our professional 18-month training program for social work professionals with US social work agencies.
AYWC has organized international exchanges for human/social service workers since 1986 and placed over 2,500 human/social service workers in American agencies.
Global Entrepreneurship Week /Ghana: The Global Entrepreneurship /Ghana is nation wide companies dedicated to instill the sprite of entrepreneurship to the youth of Ghana. The week raises the awearness on the inportants of entreprenureship in society and empowers youth to take action their ideas.
It part of a Global initiative developed by Kuaffman foundation one of the world largest entrepreneurial foundation and Make your Mark UK’s largest companies that promotes enterprise among young people.
Global Entrepreneurship week was officially lunched in Nov 2007 by the UK’S Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Mr. Carl Schramm the President and CEO of Kauffman Foundation
Africa Volunteer Projects: Is a project that offers affordable overseas voluntary work experience, internship, career breaks, working holidays and gap year placements on a programme in Ghana and other parts of Africa, to individuals who seek adventure, cultural experience and have the desire to make a difference in the community.
Our projects are aimed at identifying areas that are of need and using direct voluntary action to create sustainable change in communities in developing countries in Africa.
The project mission is to promote international co-operation, friendship, cross-cultural exposure, cultural exchange, understanding, solidarity and breaks new grounds for sustainable socio-economic development through voluntary and internship work placements.
Consortium for Academic Exchange through Global Communication Technology: The purpose of this project is to promote Global Awareness and understanding through linking Students, professors and class at the university of Ghana and California polytechnic state university using Global communication technology as the vehicle ( Web casting , Email and Video conferencing ). The project is currently in it pilot stage.
National Youth Enterprise Project: The project is a flagship Youth entrepreneurship program that will provide entrepreneurial education and training through a network of enterprise academies out let to enable young people to unleash their innovative and creative enterprise ideas and also equip them with entrepreneurial skills and support, to establish a sustainable enterprise , which will create jobs for them self s, the community and also increase economic growth for the nation .The Academy will not only ensure success when starting a new business but also to enhance the future employability of young people. |
